Terms & Conditions

Rules governing use of and submissions to Wedding Aliens. Revisions to these terms and conditions may occur periodically and are applicable only after the latest revision date shown above.

The Wedding Aliens LTD, doing business as Wedding Aliens, reserves the right to update these revisions without notice and to remove, change or update any and all content of this site at will. When using the Wedding Aliens website, the member (registered venue or vendor) understands and agrees to the following. The Wedding Aliens LTD (“Wedding Aliens”) agrees to provide to the member (“Member”) the services specified and during the dates outlined in these Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”).

By using weddingaliens.com you also accept our Privacy Policy.

We are a directory and introduction service. We publish information about wedding venues and vendors and let you send inquiries to them. We are not a travel agent, wedding planner, booking agent, or party to any contract you enter with a venue, vendor, buyer or seller.

Any agreement about dates, prices, services, deposits, cancellation or refunds is made directly between you and that venue or vendor.

Wedding Aliens is responsible for approving all final copy of editorial content and listings, including photographs, which is subject to approval by the Member. Wedding Aliens may request information from the Member to substantiate copy, but Wedding Aliens reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject or alter any such material or copy and is under no obligation to publish or post any or all material that is submitted.

Listing details — capacity, features, photography, seasons and indicative prices — are compiled from the venue or vendor, their public website, and our own research. We take care to keep them accurate but they may change without notice and are provided for guidance only.

Any price estimate, quote estimator output or budget guidance on the site is an indicative range, not a quotation, and creates no obligation on any venue or vendor.

If you spot something wrong on a listing, tell us and we will correct it.

When you submit an inquiry we forward your details to the listings you selected and keep a copy so we can help. You confirm the information you send is accurate and that you are at least 16 years old.

We cannot guarantee that a venue or vendor will reply, will be available, or will offer any particular price.

If you are listed on Wedding Aliens, you confirm you have the right to use the images and text supplied, that your business details are accurate, and that you hold the licences and insurance required in your jurisdiction. You agree to respond to inquiries in a reasonable time and to honour the terms you offer couples.

In the event that Wedding Aliens receives more than two reasonable, validated complaints from users (brides, grooms, couples) about a Member’s service or product, Wedding Aliens reserves the right to remove the Member’s listing.

Should the Member for any reason request a cancellation of their membership, removal of their listing will take place within 7 days of written notice. No refunds or credits will be provided.

Wedding Aliens may terminate this Agreement at any time for the Member’s breach of this Agreement or failure to cooperate as necessary to accomplish the purposes of this Agreement. Wedding Aliens may terminate this Agreement at any time for any other reason and shall refund a pro rata portion of the fees and costs prepaid by the Member. Such refund shall be made within thirty (30) days from notice of termination from Wedding Aliens.

Second Vow, by Wedding Aliens, is a listing platform for private sellers. We do not own, inspect, store, authenticate, ship or take payment for any garment.

Sellers must describe items honestly, including alterations, wear and damage, must have the right to sell the item, and must not list counterfeit goods. Buyers are responsible for checking measurements, condition and the seller’s terms before paying.

Payment, shipping, returns and any dispute are matters between buyer and seller. We may remove listings and refuse service to accounts that misrepresent items.

The Member hereby grants to Wedding Aliens a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to use, copy, distribute, display, modify and make derivatives of, in any media, any information, materials and copy submitted to Wedding Aliens.

The Member represents and warrants that the Member owns or has otherwise licensed the rights granted under this paragraph to all information, materials and copy (including, but not limited to, images and photographs) submitted to Wedding Aliens (collectively the “Member Materials”). The Member shall indemnify, defend and hold Wedding Aliens harmless from and against any and all claims, costs and damages arising out of Wedding Aliens’ use of the Member Materials.

The same licence applies to text and images submitted by couples and by Second Vow sellers. You keep ownership of your content and can ask us to remove it.

Any and all copy, layouts and other materials created or produced by Wedding Aliens, and all rights therein, will remain the sole property of Wedding Aliens. The Member will accrue no rights in any such copy and materials and is prohibited from any use of copy or other materials without prior written consent from Wedding Aliens. The parties do not intend any copy or materials created under this Agreement to be a joint work. Any use by the Member of Wedding Aliens materials will be subject to Wedding Aliens’ prior written consent.

If you believe content on the site infringes your rights, contact us with details and we will investigate promptly.

Do not scrape, copy or republish substantial parts of the directory; submit false, abusive or unlawful content; send spam or bulk marketing through the inquiry forms; attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site; or use the platform to harvest contact details of listed businesses.

In no event shall Wedding Aliens be liable for failing to prepare and provide draft copy to a Member by the date agreed, or failing to post promotions by the agreed date. If such failure occurs without fault of the Member, the Member’s sole and exclusive remedy is the refund of a pro-rata portion of any fees prepaid for the membership, based on the number of days the promotion failed to run as agreed. In no event shall Wedding Aliens be liable for any errors in any promotion it posts or circulates. The Member’s sole and exclusive remedy for errors is a written request for correction of the error by Wedding Aliens.

The site is provided as-is. To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss, and for loss arising from the acts, omissions, insolvency or cancellation of any venue, vendor, buyer or seller you deal with.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. We strongly recommend wedding insurance for any wedding abroad.

The site links to venue, vendor and social media websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, and the courts of Cyprus have jurisdiction, without affecting any consumer rights you have in your country of residence.

Wedding Aliens reserves the right to change these Terms & Conditions in order to address future developments of weddingaliens.com or industry or legal changes.
